After being shot numerous times outside of a public housing project in Harlem on Monday, a child who was 15 years old was left clinging to life, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
At approximately 2:10 p.m., shooting broke out on 5th Avenue close to King Towers, which is a complex owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
This incident is the most recent instance of violence that has involved young people in New York City in recent days.
According to the authorities, the adolescent was shot numerous times throughout his body and was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in critical condition after being transported there after the incident.
On Monday night, the police did not instantly have a suspect description despite the fact that they had not yet made any arrests.
As a result of a string of violent acts committed against children and adolescents, the city has been shaken to its core.
On Sunday afternoon, a young child of seven years old was shot and injured inside a residence in the Bronx. It was unclear whether the boy had accidentally shot himself after he had obtained possession of the firearm.
Evette Jeffrey, who was 16 years old at the time, was a bystander who was caught in the crossfire of a gang-fueled battle last week. She was shot in the head, resulting in her death. The incident occurred next to a schoolyard in the Bronx.

In the aftermath of the needless killing, two adolescents have been apprehended.
The day after Jeffrey’s passing, a young kid of eleven years old sustained injuries as a result of a gunshot that smashed a car window and caused the child to slash himself with broken glass.
The child was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle when a man who was twenty years old and operating the vehicle was shot in the left shoulder.
The two individuals were traveling in a vehicle that was passing through gunshots that was generated by rival gangs.
