According to the California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento Metro Fire Department, a collision that occurred on Friday in South Sacramento and involved three automobiles resulted in the closure of roads in that area.
At approximately 7:30 in the morning, authorities responded to reports of a collision that had occurred in the vicinity of Elk Grove Florin Road and Gerber Road.

According to the authorities, three individuals were transported to the hospital. Two individuals were left with injuries ranging from light to moderate, while one individual is currently in serious condition.
As crews clean up the incident, Elk Grove Florin Road is restricted to traffic traveling southbound.
