An accident on the West Cardinal Dr service road early Friday morning claimed the life of a 40-year-old Beaumont man and critically injured another.
Just before four in the morning on Friday, Coshma Roshad Thomas, 40, of Beaumont, and another guy were riding a four-wheeler while towing a trailer when the terrible accident occurred.
According to the police, a pickup vehicle driving down the service road struck the 4-wheeler after it ran a stop sign, knocking Thomas and the other man off.
Ben Collins, Sr., the Justice of the Peace for Jefferson County Precinct One, declared Thomas dead at the scene.
According to Beaumont Police, the second man was seriously hurt and was transported by EMS to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital before being flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
The two men had no identification on them. Collins said Beaumont Police are identifying them by their fingerprints. The name of the injured man is yet unknown.
The crash caused minor injuries to the pickup truck’s driver.
