The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office claimed that on April 13, about 4:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an address for a probable domestic disturbance. According to reports, a suspected covert laboratory used to manufacture illicit substances may be located in the residence’s basement.

The report states that investigators discovered the hidden laboratory was used to manufacture ecstasy. One day later, on April 14, investigators executed a search warrant at the home.

According to the announcement, investigators found suspected unlawful controlled narcotics, drug paraphernalia, laboratory equipment, and hazardous chemicals from the premises.

Deputies eventually contacted the suspect, a 40-year-old man from Dodge County. He was put into detention for the following charges:

  • Domestic battery
  • Domestic unruly behavior
  • Maintain a drug trafficking place.
  • Possession with intent to produce other schedule I prohibited drugs, including ketamine.
  • Possession and intent to produce psilocybin
  • Possession of a Schedule I or II narcotic drug

The Clandestine Laboratory Response Team later determined that the residence was safe, and the community was urged not to be concerned for their safety, according to the sheriff’s office.
