A five-car collision that occurred early on Saturday morning in Reno resulted in the death of one individual and the treatment of numerous individuals for a variety of injuries.
A collision involving multiple vehicles was reported to have occurred on southbound Interstate 580 near Moana Lane on April 12 at approximately seven o’clock in the morning. Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol rushed to the scene of the collision.
Two persons were ejected from the vehicles, a third individual had to be rescued from a vehicle, and one individual is currently being treated for injuries that are considered to be life-threatening, as stated by Sergeant Chris Brown of the National Highway Patrol.
Because of the intermittent restrictions, traffic travelling in the southbound direction is restricted to passing on the shoulder.
The ramp leading southbound to Moana Lane was closed after the accident.
