Gunmen Duct-Tape Family, Including 3 Kids, in Violent Queens Robbery

According to law enforcement sources, two thugs carrying guns, one of whom was dressed as an Amazon employee, forced their way into a Queens home, bound the family, which included three small children, and duct taped their mouths shut.

According to police and sources, the robbers broke into a Whitestone single-family home just after nine in the morning on Monday. One of them was wearing an Amazon vest, while the other was sporting a black hoodie.

According to law enforcement sources, one of the four children in the family who had already left for school unintentionally left the door open, which made it simpler for the shooter to enter the house.

According to sources, the hooligans tied the family up, covered their mouths with duct tape, and dragged them into the basement while brandishing guns.

The victim’s silver Chrysler minivan served as the getaway vehicle when the two broke into the house and took off with jewellery and an undetermined sum of money.

According to police, investigators discovered it deserted two blocks away.

When John Nardone saw the frightened father running out of the house while tugging at something on his face, he had just gotten out of his car to go to work. Duct tape, Nardone recognised.

“I said, ‘are you ok?’” Nardone stated. “He said his kids were in the basement.”

Nardone dialled 911 right away.

“I honestly didn’t really know what he was saying. He didn’t really speak the greatest English,” the witness stated. “He seemed really rattled and like he did not know even what was going on. But he was definitely very nervous.”

Within minutes, two police vehicles arrived at the residence, which is located across the street from PS 193 Alfred J. Kennedy Elementary School, according to Nardone. He shared what little he knew with the officers.

Regarding the frightened father, the witness remarked, “He was definitely disheveled. He was definitely, like, scared. He probably didn’t know what just happened himself.”

Nardone admitted that he was anxious because he didn’t want to be late for his second day of a new job.

He initially wondered what he was seeing because the scene was so strange.

Regarding the victim fleeing a house, he remarked, “I was wondering if this was real, because that. I’ve never seen something like that, like a guy come out of his house with duct tape all over his face.”

According to police, the incident is still being investigated, and they are still looking for the suspects. To help identify the brash shooter, investigators are searching for any footage they can locate.
