14-Year-Old Boy Found Dead After Disappearing on Group Trip Days After 8th Grade Graduation

The body of a child identified as being 14 years old and who had vanished while on a group trip in California has been discovered.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) issued a press release stating that divers from the North Shore Dive Team discovered the corpse of Andrew Roberts, who was a resident of Clearlake, at approximately 10:40 p.m. local time on Sunday, June 8.

The teenager was reportedly “part of a group trip and told others he was heading to the pool,” but the authorities said that he had not been heard from since that time.

According to the statement released by the authorities, he was last seen in the Big Beach neighbourhood of Hidden Valley Lake at almost 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.

The authorities have not disclosed any other information, including the reason for his passing, thus yet.

According to a statement that was distributed by school officials, the adolescent had only recently graduated from Obsidian Middle School. The officials spelt his last name as “Robert.” It was a statement that was disseminated.

“Andrew was 14 years old and had just celebrated his promotion to high school, a milestone he reached with the support and admiration of those around him,” officials stated.

“Andrew was well loved by both staff and peers,” they continued. “His kindness, warm spirit, and unique presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He brought light to our school community and will be deeply missed.”

According to the statement released by the middle school, support services would be made available to both the pupils and the personnel attending the school in the aftermath of the tragedy.

According to a statement released by the school administration, “Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Andrew’s family, friends, and all those who are grieving this profound loss.” After some time had passed, they continued by saying, “We will continue to honour Andrew’s life in the days ahead and will hold his memory in our hearts.”

According to the authorities, the search was assisted by a number of different agencies. These agencies included the North Shore Dive Team and Lake County Search and Rescue, as well as personnel from KCORP, CAL FIRE, South Lake Fire, Hidden Valley Security, and a K9 officer.

“The Lake County Sheriff’s Office extends our heartfelt condolences to Andrew’s family, friends, and the entire community during this difficult time,” the LCSO stated.
