Man Allegedly Kills Roommate With AR-15-Style Rifle After Heated Argument

An disagreement over their living arrangement allegedly led to the shooting death of a guy from Pennsylvania.

Police claim that 52-year-old Christopher Euard shot and killed Timothy Pirraglia, his roommate, whose age was not disclosed.

Police responded to a report at a property in the gated Treasure Lake enclave in DuBois, in the central portion of the state, early on June 7, according to an arrest document acquired by the local Courier Express news website.

Euard made the call after he allegedly told authorities that he killed his roommate during a quarrel.

The affidavit claims that Euard was met by police outside the house when they arrived and that they immediately took him into custody. Inside the house, Pirraglia was discovered dead from a single shotgun wound to the chest.

Prior to their final conflict, Euard allegedly informed police that he and Pirraglia had been fighting for weeks over their living situation.

Euard claimed that when he got home from work the previous evening, he and Pirraglia got into a verbal altercation.

The affidavit claims that Pirraglia hit Euard with his fists and “pushed[ed] his head into a corner” during that altercation.

To “cool down,” the two men retired to their individual rooms.

A single gunshot was said to have followed that comment.

According to reports, the suspect stated, “He’s down,” when the other roommate approached Euard.

“What do you mean he’s down?” the roommate said.

“You know what happened,” Euard said.

He then left the house, the roommate told the police.

Euard informed police that he “passed out” and it took him many hours to report the gunshot.

Euard was accused with deliberately endangering another person, aggravated assault, and criminal homicide. He is being jailed without bond at the Clearfield County Jail. Friday is when he is expected to appear in court next.
