According to authorities, a guy from Tennessee is charged with criminal homicide and assault after he allegedly strangled his pregnant girlfriend after she confronted him about text messages he sent to another woman.
He also allegedly shot and killed a cousin of hers who attempted to halt the assault.
According to a news release from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Tony Wray, 29, allegedly went on a rampage at The Harris Townhomes in Nashville at approximately 11:57 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to police, he choked his fiancée at his apartment and then threatened to attack everyone who came to help, including his own mother, according to an arrest document.
Wray allegedly threatened his girlfriend, saying, “I will kill you and my mother.”
According to the affidavit, she later informed police that Wray had a revolver close by and next to his bed when he allegedly threatened her after she promised to call his mother and invite her to visit.
In the end, the woman called a second relative, 26-year-old Charqwan Howse, who arrived with a third person. Police say that shortly after they arrived, Wray shot Howse.
“The relative, Howse, and a third woman all approached Wray on the front porch of the apartment building where an argument over the alleged assault ensued,” MNPD officials stated in the department’s press release. “Wray is accused of shooting Howse without further provocation.”

He was detained by the officers without any incident.
The homicide detectives spoke to witnesses as well as Wray’s girlfriend, who stated that the two of them had been arguing prior to the shooting and that he had choked her at least three times when she confronted him about the text messages.
A total of three counts of aggravated assault have been brought against Wray, including two counts of assault against his fiancée and an extra case of assault against a second lady who was a witness.
