Illegal Street Takeover Disrupts Busy Pennsylvania Intersection, Police Say

In Plymouth Township, Pennsylvania, police are looking into what they claim was an illegal street takeover that blocked a busy intersection over the weekend with numerous explosions and risky stunts.

On Sunday night, many cars were shown on camera “spinning uncontrollably throughout the intersection” as some of the passengers stayed outside the autos before escaping the police.

“At approximately 8:03 p.m., the Plymouth Township Police Department received numerous calls regarding street racing in the middle of the intersection,” the police stated in a press release on Tuesday.

As a sizable group of onlookers neared the crossing, many cars carelessly drove donuts in the center of the road, police noted.

According to the police, between 50 and 100 persons, including the passengers involved, saw the incident but left before the police came.
