NC Worker Claims Chucky Doll Prank Caused PTSD, Sues Former Employer

According to many sources, a former employee of Truist Bank has filed a lawsuit against the bank, stating that she was subjected to discrimination and retribution.

The case was filed after the employee claimed that a prank using the doll Chucky made her anxiety issue more worse.

According to a report, Debra Jones asserts in her lawsuit that her manager placed a Chucky doll, sometimes known as “the doll that kills people,” on her chair in her office, despite the fact that she was aware of her tendency to avoid dolls.

According to Jones’s claim in the lawsuit, she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the incident. She stated that she had discussed her fear of dolls with her manager during a company cookout.

Jones also stated that the incident had an impact on her disabilities, which include generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, and the autoimmune disorder vitiligo.

When Jones returned to work after taking two months out for medical reasons, she claimed that she was treated differently.

She accused the bank of taking retaliatory action against her because she needed to leave work at three o’clock in the afternoon to receive treatment for her autoimmune illness condition.

Jones was “subjected to discrimination and retaliation based on her being a qualified individual with disabilities,” according to the complaint, after she returned to a new office and began working under a new boss.

The lawsuit stated that her superiors asserted that her fellow employees “also needed time off,” as reported.

The lawsuit asserted that Jones was terminated from her position in March after a management informed her that she could no longer continue to cite her disability as an excuse.

Chucky is a character from the horror film “Child’s Play,” which was released in 1988. In this film, a deceased serial killer takes the form of a boy’s doll and kills victims.

Jones is seeking compensation for the alleged violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act that was committed by the bank, which was the subject of the complaint that was filed in North Carolina in May.
