The name of the Ladson man who was killed in a hit-and-run accident early on Sunday morning has been made public by the coroner for Dorchester County.
Coroner Paul Brouthers stated that Kelly Farmer, 46, was discovered on Dorchester Road after being struck by a vehicle while walking near Tabby Lane at approximately 6:58 a.m. His body was discovered on Dorchester Road.
The death of Farmer was confirmed by Brouthers at the site at 7:48 in the morning.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the occurrence of the collision took place around one mile west of Summerville, close to Middleton Boulevard.
According to the investigators, Farmer was struck by a car that approached from the east. That automobile drove away from the scene of the collision.
