You may be entitled to receive a portion of a $15 million settlement related to Cash App. Block, Inc., the app’s parent firm, agreed to the compensation following a class action complaint alleging unauthorised transactions on the site. This lawsuit is part of a growing trend of legal action against fintech companies for concerns connected to user rights and account administration — and many are now bearing the consequences of failing to fulfil consumer expectations.
Affected Cash App customers are eligible for a part of a $15 million settlement
The lawsuits against Cash App are primarily about fraudulent charges and unlawful account freezes, but millions of consumers were also harmed by a number of data breaches. Claimants in the $15 million settlement include people who were affected by illegal conduct or had their accounts suspended for no apparent reason or resolution. The purpose is to reimburse consumers for any reputational damage, emotional distress, or monetary losses caused by Cash App transaction errors or account security issues.
