Donald Trump ‘seriously’ thinking of pardoning disgraced rap mogul

According to a recent report, President Donald Trump is considering pardoning Sean Diddy Combs.

According to Deadline, which cited a Trump administration source, Combs, the 55-year-old rap entrepreneur who was found guilty of federal prostitution-related offenses earlier this month, is being given serious consideration for a presidential pardon.

Trump called Diddy “a good friend of mine and a good guy” while hosting the reality show The Apprentice. I’m going to defend him.

Earlier this month, Trump said he wasn’t closely following Combs’ case when asked if he was thinking about pardoning Diddy.

I would examine the situation, and I haven’t been keeping a close eye on it. Trump stated, “We all know it’s getting a lot of coverage.”

The president asserted that when Trump entered politics, their friendship came to an end.

I haven’t spoken to him in years, and I haven’t seen him. There was a time when he truly liked him. According to what I’ve read about Trump, that relationship ended when I ran for office. I didn’t hear that from him. However, I suddenly came across some terrible tiny statements in the paper.

However, Trump stated that if the case’s facts warrant it, he would not allow the enmity to stand in the way of pardon.

Of course, I would consider the facts. Whether they like me or not, it wouldn’t affect me if I believed that someone had been abused, he remarked.

Other insiders told Deadline that since Diddy’s conviction, the discussion surrounding a Combs pardon has moved from being just another Trump ploy to becoming a real occurrence.

Trump has faced criticism for his use of the pardon power on multiple occasions, including when he used it for defendants on January 6 and for an executive found guilty of multi-million dollar tax fraud after his mother attended a $1 million fundraiser at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

Trump is being investigated for a possible pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, who assisted the late, disgraced tycoon Jeffrey Epstein in sexually abusing young girls, in addition to the prospect of Diddy’s pardon.
