Teams are getting ready for the second half of the season now that the 2025 WNBA All-Star has concluded. This week’s matchup between the Phoenix Mercury and Atlanta Dream is one of the most exciting.
This season, the Mercury have been one of the top WNBA teams. They have maintained their third-best record, behind the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. Phoenix has thus far been led by Alyssa Thomas and Satou Sabally, with DeWanna Bonner joining in the middle of the season.
Throughout the season, the Dream has been a fierce band. Due to a knee injury, they lost Rhyne Howard for the month of July; however, it is uncertain if she will return to the court this early in August. All year long, the Dream has lagged behind the Mercury in the standings.
