Miami-Dade Woman Stabbed Multiple Times by Boyfriend as Daughter Watched in Horror

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — A shocking and brutal act of domestic violence unfolded in a Northwest Miami-Dade apartment, where a mother was repeatedly stabbed by a man in front of her daughter — who could only watch in horror, powerless to intervene.

Violent Attack Inside the Apartment

The incident took place at an apartment complex near Northwest 79th Street and 13th Court. According to police, the suspect, identified as Leonardo Rondon, had been living with the victim, and the two were involved in a romantic relationship.

Surveillance footage captured Rondon entering the apartment on Monday morning. Moments later, he is seen leaving the building with a knife in his hand and blood on his clothing.

Daughter’s Devastating Testimony

The victim’s daughter, who witnessed the attack, recalled the horrifying moment.

“I couldn’t do anything, and I tried to help her. I tried to pull him off of her.”

She immediately ran for help, screaming for neighbors and authorities. Despite her efforts, her mother suffered multiple stab wounds and was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

Suspect Arrested After Fleeing Scene

Rondon fled the scene but was soon apprehended by police. Authorities say he confessed to the attack and is now facing charges including attempted murder.

The motive behind the brutal stabbing remains unclear, but investigators confirmed that it was not the first time police had been called to that address.
