Families throughout Alabama are loading up shopping carts with goods as the back-to-school shopping season gets underway.
CashNetUSA has created a list of the most reasonably priced school supplies in every state, including Alabama, to assist parents and students in getting the best value for their money.
School supplies for the 2024–25 school year can cost parents an average of $586 per child, which is divided into $169 for clothes, $113 for shoes, $206 for electronics, and $94 for stationery, according to the US Senate Federal Credit Union.
Before the back-to-school rush, several retailers offer off-season discounts. Last-minute buyers can still find a lot of deals, though, which is fortunate because 48% of families put off their back-to-school shopping until the two weeks before to the start of classes.
The most reasonably priced school supplies may be found nationwide at Walmart. Walmart is actually 60.1% less expensive than other stores that sell back-to-school supplies.
