On Thursday afternoon, Evergreen Way was closed in both directions following a deadly collision involving two cars and a motorbike.
Police and firefighters in Everett responded to reports of an accident involving two cars and a motorbike in the 10300 block of Evergreen Way at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
A man in his thirties was thrown from his motorbike. According to Natalie Given, a spokesman for Everett police, he was declared dead at the site despite the efforts of first responders to save his life.
A truck carrying a boat trailer was one of the cars involved. The driver cooperated with the inquiry and stayed at the scene. A man with non-life-threatening injuries who was driving the other car, a hatchback, was taken to the hospital.
While the Everett Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit looked into the collision, all lanes on Evergreen Way were blocked for several hours. At around 3:40 p.m., the road reopened.
There were no other details available at the time. The cause of the collision is still being looked into.
