A guy was captured by Wisconsin police on Friday after he caused a car accident and ran away, putting several local schools on lockdown.
Leo Lacy, 47, is the suspect in an investigation into an incident in which he allegedly threatened someone at gunpoint, according to the Eau Claire Police Department.
While looking for Lacy, officers spotted a car linked to him and took a close-up look at it. Officers attempted to stop Lacy when they noticed him getting back into the car at 12:20 p.m., but he ran away, and the pursuit was swiftly terminated because of the time and the traffic.
Officers discovered Lacy had escaped from one of the cars after a nearby collision was reported. He was observed sprinting into a neighborhood from the intersection. Officials told schools to halt operations in a matter of minutes.
Since Lacy was thought to be armed and dangerous, several agencies came to help with the hunt. Just before 2:00 p.m., he was apprehended after being found in a garage; a loaded weapon and magazine were found close by.
No other information was given.
