FBI Revives Probes Into Cocaine at White House, Dobbs Leak, and Capitol Pipe Bombs

According to FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, the agency is revisiting or requesting additional funding for three significant investigations that have “garnered public interest.”

These cases include the 2021 investigation into the pipe explosion in Washington, D.C.; the 2022 Supreme Court Dobbs decision leak; and the 2023 case involving the white house cocaine finding during the Biden administration.

“Shortly after swearing in, the Director and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest,” Bongino stated. “We made the decision to either re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention, to these cases.”

“I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress,” he continued. “If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us then please contact the FBI.”

Two explosive devices were discovered outside the offices of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., one day prior to the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

This incident is the basis for the pipe bombing case.

The FBI requested the public’s assistance in identifying the culprit in new footage they released earlier this year showing them setting off a pipe bomb outside the DNC buildings.

The FBI is also investigating who might have leaked a Supreme Court draft opinion that revealed the court’s intention to reverse Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which resulted in the overturning of Roe v. Wade and returned control of abortion rights decisions to the states.

The U.S. Secret Service looked into the cocaine baggie that was discovered in a doorway leading to the lobby area of the White House’s West Wing entrance, but they were unable to identify its owner. The Biden family was not present at the time, according to the agency.
