Some of the most interesting musical artists are band members who create their own backing tracks, instruments and vocals for their compositions. These performers go on to win awards and award-winning songs. See how Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra are in the running for first prize at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest by reading this article!

The highly famous Eurovision Song Contest approaches its colourful culmination Saturday night, against the subject of a war in Europe, with 25 bands performing in front of a live audience in Turin, northern Italy, while many more witness on television all around world.

Kalush Orchestra, a Ukrainian band that blends traditional Ukrainian rhythms, costumes, and dance techniques with current hip hop, is widely favoured by bookies, with a 60 percent probability of winning.

Their song “Stefania” was created as a tribute to the frontman’s mother, but it has since become an anthem for the war-torn country, since the lyrics have taken on new significance since Russia’s invasion on Feb. 24. “Even if all roads go nowhere, I’ll always find my way home.”

Ukraine is favored to win the Eurovision Song Contest because of their strong history in the competition, as well as the current talent and popularity of their artists. In addition, Ukraine has a strong fan base that has consistently shown support for their country’s representatives.

Another advantage Ukraine has over other countries is their history in the competition. Ukraine has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest every year since its inception, which makes them one of the most experienced countries in the event. This experience gives Ukrainian artists a greater understanding of how to perform during the contest and helps them connect with their fans on a deeper level.

The Kalush Orchestra is one step closer to winning the Eurovision Song Contest. The Kalush Orchestra is one of only a few Ukrainian bands that have achieved success on the international stage. They are also one of the few Ukrainian acts to have ever competed in the Eurovision Song Contest. The group hopes to win the contest this year and bring pride to Ukraine on behalf of its embattled population.

Twenty bands will participate alongside the Big Five of Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Spain, who have permanent slots due to their financial support of the competition.

Following its invasion of Ukraine, Russia was barred from participating this year, a move organisers said was intended to keep politics out of the competition, which celebrates variety and friendship among nations.
