A teacher who was suspected of having inappropriate connections with pupils at Albuquerque Public School lost his job. The investigation was started by a number of concerns raised by parents, other educators, and students, which are highlighted in the criminal complaint.
While on a field trip to Urban Air a little more than a year ago, instructors from Albuquerque Public School reported a John Adams Middle School teacher acting in an unsettling manner. According to a police complaint, professors and the bus driver noticed 33-year-old Patrick Corr laying across the laps of two female pupils on the way to Urban Air after telling him to sit down.
A girl on that excursion also reported that she felt very uneasy when she saw Corr pick up and throw a few female classmates into the ball pit without their permission.
An internal investigation started after the principal of the school was informed of everything.
At the conclusion of the 2024 academic year, Corr was placed on administrative leave while APS police conducted an investigation. And that was only the beginning. Staff discovered student letters in Corr’s classroom at the beginning of the following academic year. The teacher was referred to in the messages as “Daddy Corr,” “hot,” and “they love him.”
Two female victims, ages 16 and 17, who stayed overnight at Corr’s house are also included in the lawsuit. The 17-year-old used to be a student of Corr’s.
She claimed that since she began eighth grade in 2020, they had been Snapchatting together and that they had at least once exchanged offensive images. Before bringing her and her 16-year-old cousin to his house, she informed police that he had purchased alcohol for them.
According to the lawsuit, the teenager recalls having sex with Corr while intoxicated, and the next morning, he gave her Plan B. According to another teen victim, Corr got her pregnant twice while she was drinking. Both of her pregnancies ended.
According to a search warrant obtained from Corr’s Snapchat account, 50 usernames were either present or former John Adams pupils.
Three counts of having intercourse with a juvenile are among the numerous charges against Corr, who was taken into custody by police on Monday night.
