Police chase hits 125 MPH after Carjacking in Southfield; Two suspects caught (1)

Three guys were arrested during a purported armed robbery and ensuing police chase.

Officers from the Kansas City Police Department rushed to 44th Street and Warwick Boulevard at 4 p.m. Monday after receiving complaints of a robbery. A woman informed police that a person armed with a weapon attempted to rob her before fleeing in a vehicle.

Police said they found the vehicle around 72nd Street and Troost Avenue and launched a pursuit “due to the violent and dangerous nature of the incident earlier.”

The chase concluded around Meyer and Brookside Boulevards. Three persons were taken into custody at the time, according to authorities.

Robbery investigators are currently investigating the matter.
