Two individuals were killed and two others were critically injured, including a toddler, in a rollover incident that stopped the westbound 60 Freeway near Chino for many hours early Monday morning.
The crash occurred around 2 a.m., just west of the Ramona Avenue onramp.
The vehicle was heavily damaged after colliding with the embankment, as seen in video footage.
Dean Smith, spokesperson for the Chino Valley Fire District, reported that two unnamed adult victims were pronounced deceased on the scene.
A third adult occupant and a baby, as recorded in the California Highway Patrol incident log, were sent to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
According to the CHP, the baby was ejected in the incident and located under the vehicle.
The event resulted in the closure of all westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway. The road was reopened just before 6 a.m.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
