Based on the same-named yuri manga series, “Bloom Into You” (Japanese: Yagate Kimi ni Naru) is a romantic Japanese anime TV series. It highlights the passionate and intimate relationship between girls. And the minute you talk about girls and passion, you know it’s bound to be a smashing success – and it was! Bloom into You was one of the most popular anime series when it aired. So far eight volumes of the manga have been released.
In Japan, the series initially aired in October of 2018 to widespread acclaim from the anime community. But the major question stands still – irrespective of the success of the first season, will there be a season 2 of Bloom into You? Let’s find out!
Will Bloom into You be renewed with a brand new season?
Let’s do the math because as of yet, the show hasn’t been officially renewed! Yeah, that’s right, the makers are yet to renew Bloom into You for a second season.
The first season of the show was well-received by fans and critics not only from Japan but all over the world! After its premiere in 2018, we did hear that a second season was likely to happen. But then the pandemic happened and all our favorite TV shows got delayed. And in that process, so did Bloom into You.
But will there be a season 2? We can certainly hope so. Let’s await an official confirmation from the makers. Once they do, we will update this space. And, all you’ve got to do is stay tuned!

Are all the characters gonna return?
Yes, we can expect the return of all the lead characters for season 2. Here’s who may be featured:
- Ai Kayan plays Sayaka Saeki, and Taichi Ichikawa plays Seiji Maki.
- Sh Nogami voices Suguru Doujima, Konomi Kohara voices Koyomi Kanou, and Yuka Terasaki voices Akari Hyuuga.
- Mai Nakahara’s Riko Hakozaki and Miyako Kodama’s Riko Hakozaki Nanako Mori perform the role of Nanako Mori.
- Mikako Komatsu plays Rei Koito.
- Kazuyuki Okitsu plays Tomoyuki Ichigaya.
The plot
The plot of Bloom into You is about girls and intimacy. The early episodes highlighted Yuu’s confusion. After he proposed to his crush, she rejects him. Obv, she was heartbroken that his longtime crush rejected him. Later, she meets this attractive young girl, Touko Nanam. Touko Nanami eventually told Yuu that she loved her.
Yuu is now in a relationship but the girl’s not happy. Somehow she just doesn’t feel connected to her partner. They did have a spark but well it doesn’t feel the same to her. Now, Yuu embarks on a journey of self-discovery. She admits her feelings for Touko after coming to terms with it. After college, the couple get engaged. Eventually, they married, having received their diplomas.
