Police are investigating a body discovered on the side of I-15 in Davis County on Wednesday.
Around 11 a.m., a driver’s vehicle broke down on I-15 near North Salt Lake. The motorist abandoned the vehicle and arranged with the Utah Highway Patrol to get it removed.
When the owner returned, he or she discovered what seemed to be a body between the concrete barrier and the freeway’s sound wall. Troopers from the Utah Highway Patrol went to the area and found that the deceased was a 73-year-old male.
UHP Lt. Cameron Roden stated that there are no apparent indicators of foul play, but the situation is being investigated.
“Investigators are working to determine how the individual ended up in this location, why they were there and the cause of death. As the investigation continues, the right lane of northbound I-15 remains closed in this area,” the Department of Public Safety said.
