Brandelyn Nelson announces candidacy for Montevallo City Council

MONTEVALLOBrandelyn Nelson, a longtime Montevallo resident, small business owner, and community volunteer, has formally declared her intention to run for the District 4 seat on the Montevallo City Council.

Nelson, who has spent almost ten years living and working in Montevallo, contributes a combination of her professional background and her involvement in the community to her campaign. She has years of experience establishing connections with families, neighbors, and business owners around the city as a local realtor with Team Lehman Realty.

Nelson works in real estate and is also an active community member and parent of a student at Montevallo High School. Her campaign’s theme is Leadership that Listens, and its platform emphasizes workable solutions, inclusive participation, and assistance for working families, elders, and students.

I’m dedicated to offering a new viewpoint and an enthusiasm for creating a welcoming environment at Montevallo as a first-time candidate, Nelson stated. Putting the needs of the community first and listening first are the ways I wish to serve.
