A multi-vehicle incident in Murray injured numerous persons, completely destroyed one vehicle, ripped off a tire on another, and caused property damage.
The accident was reported around 700 West and Winchester Street (6400 South) on early Tuesday afternoon.
Photos from the site showed one automobile which appeared to be hit head on by a fast-moving vehicle. According to photographer Georjane Branham, a black truck sped through the scene and collided with the cars before. The truck then came to a halt on a crushed fence.
Authorities have not established whether the truck was the one that caused the damage to the other vehicles.
According to Murray Police Public Information Officer Kristen Reardon, four automobiles were involved in the crash. She also reported that several persons were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

The extent of their injuries and their condition are not disclosed by the authorities.
Police have not disclosed information on whether they suspect tired, drunk, or distracted driving had a part, or if one of the drivers experienced a medical issue.
The junction of 700 West and Winchester Street was totally stopped while detectives worked on the site.
The investigation is ongoing and the injured individuals are receiving medical care in a nearby hospital.
