The cause of the crash that claimed a life in east Raleigh early Thursday morning is being looked into by police.
Officers reported responding to a collision on the 3300 block of Trawick Road at approximately 1:30 a.m., according to a news release from the Raleigh Police Department.
Officers reported that when they arrived, they discovered the car’s occupant dead.
Debris was all across the road, and the car appeared to have been overturned and was badly damaged. Together with the medical examiner, investigators were gathering evidence.
Trawick Road is closed in the vicinity of the collision, according to officers, who advise traffic to take alternate routes.
