One person was killed when their car went over a highway guardrail in Baton Rouge on Sunday afternoon, April 6.
The Baton Rouge Police Department says the accident happened around 4:30 pm on I-110 near Capitol Access Road and Chippewa Street. A car drove over the guardrail.
The driver of the car died from injuries he or she got in the accident, so traffic homicide officers were called to the scene.
Because of the accident, I-110 South at North 22nd Street was stopped for a few hours. Around 6:45 pm, the work was done, and the road was open again.
No information about the person who died has been made public yet.
The probe is still going on.
