Chad Leverett seeking reelection to Pelham City Council

FROM WORKER REPORTS

PELHAMThe Pelham City Council’s Place 2 representative, Chad Leverett, has formally declared his intention to run for reelection in the 2025 municipal election.

Leverett, a longtime resident of Pelham, husband, father, coach, and involved member of the community, brings to the position a track record of service and considerate leadership. Since taking office, he has supported initiatives that prioritize people-first decision-making and include infrastructure, recreation, beautification, and staff assistance.

Leverett stated, “This city is not only where I serve, but also where I live, worship, coach, and raise my son.” The best interests of Pelham, not politics, but people, are the foundation of every choice I make. It would be an honor to gain the community’s trust and vote after doing this task with honesty, prayer, and purpose.

At civic events and neighborhood gatherings, Leverett is a recognized face because of his genuine attendance and attentive listening to locals. His campaign and day-to-day work have been shaped by his leadership style, which combines honesty, humility, and action.

Five main priorities form the foundation of his platform:

-Link promoting community through citywide celebrations, shared areas, and inclusive events

-Wellbeing & Recreation Putting money into Pelham’s parks, trails, senior center, and facilities for youth sports

-Infrastructure Making a long-term commitment to upgrading drainage, roadways, and other vital infrastructure

-Beautification Adding signage, lighting, and landscaping to public areas, such as Highway 31

-City workers providing the resources, equipment, and respect that those who work in Pelham every day deserve

According to Leverett, these five sectors are more than just a platform; they are a reflection of my values, my way of life, and the future I hope for Pelham. Doing the work and doing it correctly is more important than checking boxes.

Leverett, who is accompanied by his wife Melissa and their son Will, claims that his campaign is based on family, faith, and a desire to see Pelham prosper for many years to come.

He stated, “I just want to help create a Pelham that we’re proud to pass on to the next generation.” That requires diligence, integrity, and the drive to consistently show up. I’m on board.
