After being hit by an SUV in a driveway, a child died in what authorities described as a “tragic accident” in a Salt Lake neighborhood.
The collision occurred in the Liberty Wells area at approximately 5:45 p.m. close to 350 East and Wilson Avenue (1750 South).
Although they could not provide specifics, Salt Lake City Police Department officials stated that a minor was involved in the “low-speed” collision.
After being taken to the hospital in critical condition, the youngster passed away from their wounds.
No information was made public regarding the child’s identification or age.
According to the police, the motorist remained at the site and was connected to the deceased youngster.
While the major crash team’s investigators worked at the scene, Wilson Avenue was closed between 300 and 400 East.
