The California Highway Patrol reported making several arrests Sunday night after sideshows in Vallejo and Crockett.

According to investigators, the Vallejo sideshow activity was initially observed by the CHP H-30 helicopter crew while they were returning from a separate call. CHP Solano ground personnel responded to separate the throng after being alerted by the air crew. According to CHP, one sideshow participant was followed by an H-30 into Contra Costa County, where ground units made arrests.

Authorities said that after H-30 returned to Vallejo, they found another spectacle. In relation to that spectacle, one driver was taken into custody.

According to CHP, the helicopter team then found a third sideshow in Crockett, at the intersection of Pomona Street and Interstate 80. Authorities said that before the vehicle left the scene, the crew saw one of the vehicles strike a sideshowgoer. That car’s driver was apprehended after being pursued.

According to CHP, three vehicles were seized and at least seven individuals were arrested in relation to the three sideshows. Later on Sunday night, several more cars were towed following a sideshow in Oakland.
