Having observed every possible scenario involving the city’s wastewater system, you should never hesitate to contact Justin Tripp in the event that something goes wrong.
Citizens know they are in good hands when they are called. According to Tripp, he thrives under pressure and wears waterproof boots, which is why he obtained his Grade IV wastewater certification in 2019.
As a wastewater manager, Tripp explains his job as a combination engineer, investigator, and motivational speaker who keeps everything running behind the scenes, including pumps, pipelines, valves, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
Tripp has a difficult job because he has been requested to remove a raccoon from a valve vault and calls to clear a clogged pipe because people are trying to flush down needless objects. He is aware, though, that his work would not be feasible without his team.
Fortunately, Tripp added, “I’m not doing this alone.” My team consists of true legends who arrive in the worst weather and with the worst odors, yet they manage to crack jokes while we’re extracting an unknown object from a sewer pump.
Tripp enjoys his life and his profession because he knows that he raises his family and works hard behind the scenes, accomplishing his goals every day despite the chaos.
