The wait of all the fans is now over as the writer of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs franchise Phil Lord took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on 22nd September, 2023 and revealed that Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3 is still a work under progress. He also revealed that even a script was finalized and the movie was to be called ‘Planet of the Grapes’.

The third installment or the threequel of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs has not yet been officially confirmed and hence there is no confirmed release date for the same. Sony is yet to release an official confirmation about the threequel as well.

The first two movies revolved around the story of a haphazard scientist named Flint who devised a machine that could convert water into food. The people in his hometown were initially very much delighted with this invention but very soon, the machine turned into a disaster for everyone. It caused food storms all around the world.
