Anne Arundel County Police are investigating what caused a two-vehicle crash in Severn on Monday.
According to authorities, a Ford Expedition and a Lexus RX collided just after 5:00 p.m. on Telegraph Road near Norcross Lane.
James Thomas Sims, the driver of the Lexus, was killed in the crash.
The Expedition’s driver, a 19-year-old woman, was severely injured and transported to Shock Trauma for treatment. The Ford’s passengers, three children aged three, five, and seven, were all transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital with injuries.
According to Anne Arundel County Police, the inquiry will be handled by the Traffic Safety Section’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
