Cyclist dragged 30 feet after being hit by truck in San Luis Obispo; driver arrested

A car hit a bicycle and pulled them along Broad Street in San Luis Obispo. The incident happened on late Tuesday night.

A pedestrian was hit by a pickup vehicle while riding their bike in the bike lane next to the Marigold Center, the San Luis Obispo Police Department reported on Instagram.

According to the article, the truck pulled the pedestrian and their bike some thirty feet down the road before coming to a stop.

According to the post, the motorist was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, and the pedestrian was taken to a hospital in San Luis Obispo with moderate, non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver’s name was kept under wraps.
