A automobile hit two women in a Chicago suburb, leaving one critically injured and the other two dead.
According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the three were struck by a car on Church and Meadow roads in Winnetka, Illinois, on Friday, May 2, at approximately 6 p.m. local time. At the time, the baby was in a pram.
According to officials, one of the women passed away at the scene, and the other was declared dead at the hospital. The baby was taken right away to the hospital, where they are receiving treatment for their wounds.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office stated that the women were identified as Raziyeh Sigar, 58, and Sediqeh Samadi, 37.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver and passenger in the car were also sent to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities do not now suspect foul play, but the inquiry is still underway.

“This is a real family-focused neighborhood. There are a lot of young kids running around all the time,” local resident Mia Sachs told the station.
“Our community wants to help in any way that we can. There’s an outpouring of, ‘What can we do?’ And really, at this point, we’ve only been told they just need prayers,” Sachs added. “So, that’s what everyone is doing.”
