A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday morning in Brown County, leaving one person dead and two others seriously injured.
The collision took place around 5:55 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 32 and Eastwood Road in Sterling Township.
Preliminary findings from the Ohio State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2023 Hyundai Elantra, heading eastbound on State Route 32, failed to stop for halted traffic at the intersection and rear-ended a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro.
The impact pushed the Camaro into the intersection, where it collided with a 2024 Jeep Wrangler traveling north on Eastwood Road.
The driver of the Hyundai Elantra, identified as 50-year-old Mark O’Roark of Mount Orab, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The Camaro’s driver was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
Emergency response included personnel from Mount Orab Fire and EMS, Mount Orab Police, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Brown County Coroner.
