A woman is in jail after she led police on a run in Visalia and then hit a police officer.
Around 7 a.m. Sunday, police say they tried to pull over the woman, who is thought to be driving while drunk, near Court Street and Noble Avenue.
According to the police, the woman did not stop, which led to the chase that stopped at the corner of School Avenue and Church Street.
29-year-old Tiffany Jeff at first refused to get out of the car, but he finally did what the officer told him to do. She was caught with DUI.
Authorities say Jeff hit the cop who arrested him while he was in a holding cell.
Then charges of battery on a peace officer and refusing an officer with force were added.
