Fate: The Winx Saga is a Netflix Original series that is returning for another run has proven to be a popular show among many fans around the world. The teen fantasy drama series is based on the cartoon series Winx Club. It is also confirmed that filming for season 2 has kicked off.
The Netflix show is created by Brian Young and the directing duties will be shared between Lisa James Larsson, Hannah Quinn, and Stephen Woolfenden.
Creator Brian Young said in a statement: “Winx connects with audiences in the live-action adaptation the same way it does in animation.” Iginio Straffi, creator of the original cartoon added, “Over the years, we have seen Winx grow into a global phenomenon and millions of fans have faithfully followed the show.”
Several months ago it was reported that Fate: The Winx Saga was officially renewed.
In February 2021, Netflix disclosed the information through its Twitter accounts that the series will be returning for another season! An announcement for the upcoming season video was also uploaded on YouTube confirming the piece of information.
As for the release date, the exact date has not been revealed yet but it is slated for a mid-2022 release.
Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Cast: Could we expect New Characters?
Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 will introduce us to three new characters and it’s official.
Flora, an earth fairy, will be played by Paulina Chávez, Sebastian will be enacted by Éanna Hardwick, and Grey will be enacted by Brandon Grace.
Other than the New characters, the old characters who will be returning to reprise their respective roles including Bloom (Abigail Cowen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha), Musa (Elisha Applebaum), Terra (Eliot Salt), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Sky (Danny Griffin), Riven (Freddie Thorp), Beatrix (Sadie Soverall), Silva (Rob James-Collier), Dane (Theo Graham), Queen Luna (Kate Fleetwood), Andreas (Ken Duken), Sam (Jacob Dudman) and Harvey (Alex MacQueen).
Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Plot: What will happen?
There’s scant detail on what will happen in season 2 but we expect to see fallouts as the story unfolds deeper.
In the upcoming season, we also expect to see Bloom powers grow even stronger. During her last battle with Burned ones, Bloom was finally to develop her wings and became the first-ever fairy to do that in many years. Bloom who now was unable to unlock her powers may have to train herself to control her powers.
Cowan (Via Buzzfeed) said, “I hope to, just overall, see the girls come more into their power. Maybe even come together to conquer one force or one thing. I hope to see Bloom and Sky’s relationship build and progress. For Bloom specifically, I hope that she really has more of a, no pun intended, transformation in herself and in her confidence. I want to see her own it and start to show her badass self. And Flora, I want to see Flora!”
