The local sheriff claims that a Florida man shot his neighbor’s pregnant cow multiple times after it strayed onto his land.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Hung Trinh, 54, was promptly taken into custody for animal cruelty after reportedly shooting the 2-year-old calf five times, in the gut, chest, and back leg.
In a tragic video released by the sheriff’s office, the cow was still alive but had trouble standing or walking when deputies arrived.
According to the sheriff, the cow’s ailments necessitated its euthanasia after the expectant mother was taken to a nearby veterinarian.
According to the sheriff’s office, Trinh became upset after his neighbor’s animals continuously jumped over the fence into his yard and threatened to shoot any animals that invaded his property.
The calf Trinh reportedly shot is one of many animals raised by his neighbour for commercial use.

A.22 calibre firearm was found by police during their investigation of Trinh’s property. He was arrested and accused with grand theft of a commercial farm animal and animal cruelty.
“There will be accountability for taking your frustrations out on innocent animals, in this case, multiple felonies and jail time,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno stated. “We know how much these animals mean to our farming community, and we will not tolerate these actions.”
Trinh was arrested and placed on a bond of one hundred thousand dollars. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 16th.
