The band at Grapevine High School just received a once-in-a-lifetime surprise.
Given that the international celebrity is a graduate of Grapevine High, the group was invited to perform outside AT&T Stadium on Friday.
One email was the beginning of it all.
“I am reaching out because Post Malone will be doing a show at AT&T Stadium,” it stated. “We are interested in seeing if the Grapevine High School band will be able to bring its members to perform some of Post Malone’s hits.”
Band Director James Rees was shocked by the message, which came from Dallas radio station 102.9.
The only thing left to do was deliver the news to the pupils by surprise. They were taken aback.
“It’s something you wouldn’t even think could happen,” senior Maia Abed stated. “I can’t wait!”
Five of Post Malone’s popular songs, including “Rockstar,” “Sunflower,” “Circles,” and “Congratulations,” will be performed by the band.
Nobody is moaning that they only have a week left to practice.
“Learning the music is going to be challenging,” Abed stated. “But I know [we] want it so badly, it’s going to be an awesome performance.”
What are some of the things that would genuinely make the experience unforgettable?
Getting to know Post Malone in person.
