Gusty winds return to Southern Nevada on Thursday, mild weather for the week

The most of the forecast period is likely to be breezy to light winds, with the exception of Thursday, when powerful gusts return to the region.

Monday will begin the workweek with calm breezes of 5-10 mph and largely cloudy skies. A high of around 89 is forecast, with a low of around 58.

Winds pick up speed on Tuesday, reaching 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. The high will be around 86 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low of around 58.

Wednesday is slightly calmer, with winds ranging from 10-15 mph and gusts of 20 mph. The high will remain above average near 88, with a low around 63.

Thursday’s winds will be the fiercest yet, blowing in from the southwest at 20-25 mph in the afternoon, with gusts approaching 40 mph.

Winds will persist into the weekend, but not at the same intensity. Rain showers are also possible, however infrequently. On Friday and Saturday, anticipate mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 80s, with lows in the 50s.

The morning of Easter Sunday will be cold, with temperatures in the lower 50s before warming up to an average high of 79. Cooler winds will also be present to end the weekend before temperatures rise back into the 80s for the first few days of the next workweek.
