Police said that a driver in Modesto who was going too fast lost control and crashed through a Chase Bank. The high speed crash happened on Wednesday.
As of 3:20 p.m., Modesto Police Department said it took place at the Chase office at Standiford and Sisk avenues. The car crashed through the bank’s front door and landed on its side against the main electricity panel of the building.
Firefighters said they were able to safely get driver out of the car who was stuck inside.
No one inside the bank was hurt, but the male driver and a female passenger in the car were seriously hurt as per Modesto police reports.
The cops in Modesto said it wasn’t clear yet how the driver lost control of the car which led to the crash.
Authorities reported that the bank need to be shut down for repairs.
The victims were rushed to the hospital. The identities of the driver and the female passengers have not been revealed by the authorities.
Modesto Police Department have opened a probe to look into the crash. The involvement of drugs/alcohol is also suspected and investigated.
