Hot chase in DeKalb County ends in multi-vehicle crash, 2 seriously injured

A police pursuit in DeKalb County concluded Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash that left two suspects gravely injured and a bystander with minor injuries.

According to DeKalb County Police, officers discovered a vehicle reported stolen during a carjacking. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle on 4483 Rockbridge Road near Allgood Circle, the driver fled, resulting in a chase.

The pursuit ended when the suspects’ vehicle collided with three uninvolved automobiles.

Two people were detained and are said to be in serious condition.

One person from a vehicle not involved in the pursuit suffered minor injuries.

No cops were injured.

The identities of individuals involved have not been revealed.

The crash is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.

DeKalb County Police will continue to investigate the original carjacking.
