IMPD arrests woman for fleeing traffic stop, driving with suspended license

A woman was taken into custody following her attempt to escape from law enforcement during a traffic stop on Sunday afternoon.

As detailed in a public police report, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the vicinity of the 3700 block of Kessler Boulevard North Drive at approximately 12:35 p.m.

A recent report indicates that authorities have taken into custody 25-year-old Dunisha Pinner on several warrants from other counties and for evading officers in a vehicle following the incident.

Pinner is now confronted with four additional preliminary charges stemming from her purported efforts to flee from law enforcement, as stated by IMPD.

Engaging in defiance against authorities while operating a vehicle — Serious Offense
Evading authorities (two charges) — Class A Misdemeanor
Operating a vehicle while your license is suspended — Class A Misdemeanor

The report from IMPD regarding the incident lacks further details about the warrants from outside the county for which Pinner was taken into custody. As of 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Pinner was not listed in the Marion County jail records.
