Authorities claim that an Indiana lady was accused with threatening a teacher who used a rainbow flag with the words “Be kind” in a class assignment.
According to court documents received, Carrie Rivers, 48, was charged with harassment and possessing a handgun on school property.
According to court documents and a statement from the Decatur Township Metropolitan School District, Rivers was arrested on April 9 for an incident that occurred at Valley Hills Elementary School in Indianapolis.
According to the district, a parent, subsequently identified as Rivers, became agitated at a meeting with school management, prompting someone to call school police that day.
According to the district’s statement, “no threats were made against students or staff at that time.” Police just believed the parent was carrying a hidden pistol.
According to court filings, the district then discovered that Rivers had allegedly sent the instructor threatening and harassing communications.
In court filings, an officer from the school police department described the events of April 9.
Rivers had cooled down by the time the police arrived, but she responded, “Okay, bring them on,” when she saw them after coming from the rear office.
The records state that an officer on the scene observed a gun-shaped object on Rivers’ waistline.
The officer asked if she had a weapon and if she would like to go outside with him. Approaching her from behind, another cop took a black handgun from her holster.
According to court filings, Rivers acknowledged possessing the revolver when the officer took it from her holster.
According to court documents, the officer was able to remove the magazine from the revolver and verify that there was no ammunition inside.
Rivers responded that she was so accustomed to carrying it that she didn’t realize she had it on her when an officer informed her that weapons are not permitted on school property, according to court documents.
She was allowed to leave the school when the officers returned the gun to her.

Rivers had previously been on school grounds with what seemed to be a gun, according to a school official.
The administrator noticed what appeared to be a firearm as the mother lifted her arm as she left the premises, even though the pistol was covered.
A woman said that the rainbow flag on her school assignment irritated her.
Rivers told the responding cops that she was furious about a teacher’s homework assignment.
“She stated that her (child’s) teacher gave her a homework assignment that had to do with the same sexuality relationships,” according to the court documents.
The assignment, according to Rivers’ child’s teacher, includes flag displays from many nations and a banner in her classroom that reads “Be kind” with a rainbow.
According to court filings, Rivers called the instructor and accused her of forcing her own sexual agenda on her child. The teacher granted Rivers permission to skip the task after learning about his worries.

According to Rivers, she intends to remove her child from the school system and homeschool them for the upcoming four weeks.
She and her husband informed the officers that the assignment that infuriated her and the instructor, whom she claimed was engaging in “physical affection” with her partner in front of pupils, were to be investigated by the school.
Shortly after the school incident, Rivers sent a message to the teacher.
According to the court filing, Rivers messaged the teacher approximately twenty-five minutes after speaking with police after leaving the school on April 9.
“Sick individual” is what she described the teacher, who is attempting to “mess with the mind of our children.” The instructor ought to have her license revoked, Rivers continued.
In her messages to the instructor on April 9, Rivers said, “Good night, say your prayers, and kiss your kids goodbye.” “U never know when God says its our time so always be prepared.”
The instructor “should never tell precious innocent kids that it’s ok to be in same sex relationships,” according to another message from Rivers, and she should also refrain from kissing her wife in front of the children.
Rivers wrote, “Now (I) see why you’ve gotten death threats in the (past).”
According to the court document, the teacher skipped work the next day out of concern for her safety.
