On Thursday in broad daylight, a shooter opened fire on a Bronx street, shooting two innocent youngsters and just missing a third bystander, according to police and law enforcement officials.
According to police, the two 17-year-old males were in front of a five-story walk-up building at 265 E. 176th St. in the borough’s Tremont neighborhood when the gunfire began at approximately 1:20 p.m.
According to police and sources, one of the teenagers was wounded in the right arm and the other in the neck.
According to preliminary information, the two boys were hit by the crossfire even though they didn’t seem to be the shooter’s primary target.
Additionally, Christian Santos, 44, had just parked a Toyota Highlander when a bullet crashed through it.
When the gunfire started, Santos exited the vehicle to head to work. He claimed that one of them smashed through the back of the vehicle and into the driver’s seat, hitting the spot where his head had been only a moment before.
According to the FDNY, the two teenagers were taken by paramedics to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and were listed in stable condition early Friday.
According to sources, the shooter, a man in all black, left the scene on foot.
The shooting is still being investigated, and no one has been taken into custody.

According to the most recent NYPD statistics, the 46th precinct, where Thursday’s shooting took place, has had 12 shooting occurrences and 15 gunshot victims so far this year.
Compared to the same period last year, the figures represent a minor increase.
Although the Bronx has seen a nearly 24% decrease in shootings overall, the borough was taken aback in May when Evette Jeffrey, a 16-year-old innocent bystander, was shot in the head and murdered.
