After colliding with a road construction sign, a 61-year-old Wisconsin man was taken into custody on a fourth violation of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Officers responded to a collision near Century Avenue and Highland Way on Wednesday at approximately 6:52 a.m., according to the Middleton Police Department.
The driver, identified as Madison resident James O’Loughlin, 61, was questioned by the responding officers when they discovered the car had collided with a road work sign.
O’Loughlin was arrested for his fourth OWI after it was stated that he showed indicators of impairment and that officers found intoxicants on his breath. To receive medical attention for his wounds, he was brought to the hospital.
